CAPA is an alliance of paralegal associations in the State of California.

How can I become involved in CAPA?

CAPA is governed by a board of directors, which are designated by each of the Association Members. Each member association may designate up to two (2) Directors to serve on the CAPA Board. Each Designated Director is required to be compliant with BPC 6450.

CAPA is a fully volunteer organization, we rely on many volunteers to participate and contribute to many of the Standing and Ad Hoc Committees appointed by the President or the Board of Directors.  If you have an interest to contribute on the State level, reach out to CAPA's President at [email protected].

What is a CAPA affiliate?

CAPA's President communicates with each of the following national associations related to the paralegal profession, their education and certification - 1) NALA - National Association of Legal Assistants-Paralegals, 2) NFPA - National Federation of Paralegal Associations, and 3) AAfPE- American Association for Paralegal Education.
